Robert Benchley was born on 15th September in the year 1889 in Worcwester , Massachusetts. In his school he took part in man y theatrical productioon. He attended Phillip Exeter Academy in Exter in New Hampshire in his final years of school. He also attended Harvard University where he joined Delta Upsilon Fraternity. During this time his humor and styles begun to develop. He took part in man on campus and off campus programs.

Career of Robert Benchley as a Journalist
during his first two years in Harvard university Robert Benchley worked with the Harvard Lampoon and the Harvard Advocate. During his third year Robert Benchley was elected as a member of the boar of directors of The Harvard Lampoon. He also became member of the Signet Society Club and the Boston Papyrus Club. During this time Robert Benchley also acted in a variety of theatrical productions like Below Zero and The Crystal Gazer.

He later worked for Vanity Fair magazine and the New York Tribune. Later he wrote boo review for New York World. At the same time he continued performing as a humorist. He appeared in a number of films. After this time he began working with The New Yorker. His column and essays for The New Yorker made him famous. He also did voice works for a film.
