Robert Millman is an American physician and the Professor of Public Health and Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he works as the Director of the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Treatment and Research Service at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Millman is the writer of more than 100 scientific book chapters and papers and the editor of the all-inclusive Textbook of Substance Abuse. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Drug Strategies, which is a National Foundation fully dedicated and actively engaged in the growth and development of drug and alcohol research and policy, and serves as an advisor to the Federal and State Governments. Robert Millman is also the former Medical Director for Major League Baseball, where he acted as an advisor on the performance-enhancing accessories and steroids.
Robert Millman completed his graduation from Cornell and he received his medical degree from the State University of New York in the Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn. Millman got his training in internal medicine at the Cornell Medical College and the New York Hospital and then got his training in psychiatry at the Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic of Cornell.
Dr. Millman began his research career in the laboratory of Vincent Dole at the Rockefeller University. Millman, in his numerous books and papers wrote about alcohol abuse.
